Recently, a PV industry forum was held by famous Japanese industry magazine Solar Journal in Tokyo, Japan, focusing on the topic of “ The development of Japanese PV market after three month lowering FIT”. Mr. Kenjiro Shibata-san, Technical Manager of LONGi Solar, was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the forum, and Mr. Yoshimi Murakami-san, Special Counsel of LONGi Solar, gave a speech at the dinner on that day.

About 250 people including Japanese power station owners, EPC contractors, installers and PV equipment manufacturers, including well-known international brands like SMA, attended the forum.

At the forum, LONGi Solar made a commitment that the company would spare no effort to boost the Japanese market into the era of high efficiency 300W+ monocrystalline modules, and promote efficient, highly reliable and high-yield monocrystalline solutions to Japan. Furthermore, backed by the parent company’s strong R&D strength, LONGi Solar has continuously created records in the efficiency of PERC monocrystalline cells and modules, and will have more efficient and reliable products realizing large-scale application in the Japanese market in the future. Japan market is the first stop of the global tour of LONGi Solar’s efficient monocrystalline modules, and the next stops include the United States, India, Europe and Australia. Although Japan has continuously lowered the PV FiT, with weaker market demand, it’s still the world’s third largest PV market, with a growing number of medium and large-scale power station projects. Due to the high costs of land, among other things, the lowering of FiT makes investors focus more on system cost and LCOE, and efficient monocrystalline modules can help Japanese customers achieve better LCOE.

About LONGi Solar LONGi Solar, a subsidiary company of LONGi Green Energy Technology Company Limited, manufactures monocrystalline solar cell and module, and is dedicated to providing cost-effective solutions for investors in solar power plants.
