“I'm from Japan Business Publishing, a media company called Environment Magazine. It is an online and offline magazine covering solar photovoltaic and other renewable energy sources. My name is Kimura Masao.LONGi Solar had several beautiful victories in succession, I think its efficient mono-crystalline mudules are bound to bring great influence to the photovoltaic business in Japan, the photovoltaic industry and the whole world.”said by media member of Japan.
Since its entry into the Japanese market in June 2016, LONGi Solar has become a household name in Japan by virtue of its reliable monocrystalline PERC advantages, and has built up stable distribution channels, with PV power station projects throughout Japan.
At present, LONGi Solar has high-efficiency monocrystalline module projects in Fukushima, Yamagata, Chita, Kumamoto, Kosuga and Sendai of Japan.
“Entering in the Japanese market is a crucial step in the overseas deployment of LONGi Solar, high-efficiency monocrystalline module is an important tool for LONGi Solar to win customers in Japan, and will become the mainstream module in the Japanese PV market,” said QIN Chao, president of LONGi Solar Japan. In 2018, the efficiency of LONGi Solar’s monocrystalline PERC cell reached 23.6%, attracting wide attention from the Japanese market.
For the Japanese market caught in energy crisis for long, the development of renewable energy including solar and wind power will continue to be the main theme of the country’s future energy transformation. It’s learnt that Japan’s renewable energy on grid already exceeded coal-fired power in 2015, and the solar energy on grid exceeded the total of all other types of renewable energy in 2016.
Teruyuki Ohno, Executive Director of Japan Renewable Energy Foundation, spoke highly of LONGi Solar’s modules at the year-end summing-up forum hosted by SOLAR JOURNAL, a well-known Japanese PV magazine, in 2017. He claimed that reducing the equipment cost and LCOE of solar power generation was the main momentum for the market development, and adopting high-efficiency modules was the main driving force for the future development of Japanese PV companies.
In recent years, LONGi Solar has actively deployed in overseas markets, explored the global market by setting up branches in the United States, Japan and Germany, and invested in the countries along the Belt and Road such as India and Malaysia. In order to realize the rapid increase of overseas production capacity, the Malaysia project has begun to start production, providing an effectively guarantee for the continuous and stable supply of monocrystalline products in the overseas markets.
