With this strategic alliance, LONGi strengthens its presence in the country, where it has already supplied over 500 MW in sustainable projects. The first delivery of modules for the Magdalena Solar Phase II Park began in the last quarter of 2024, and the project is expected to become operational in the fourth quarter of 2025, marking a significant step toward the region's energy transition.

Antonio Morales, Regional Sales Coordinator for Mexico and Central America at LONGi, celebrated the agreement, stating: “Guatemala’s openness to implementing renewable energy has been exceptional. The country is moving toward a carbon-neutral future, and LONGi is ready to take on the challenge of providing the best photovoltaic technology available worldwide. We are very pleased to collaborate with a key partner like EMMI in this promising market.”

Meanwhile, Ángel Nicolás, General Director of EMMI, remarked: “Energy transition is no longer a long-term goal; it is a reality that we must drive forward now. Our entry into Guatemala allows us to collaborate closely with key stakeholders and apply advanced technologies that will significantly impact both the environment and the local economy. This is just the beginning of a phase in which we will continue to lead the shift toward a more sustainable energy future.”

With this project, Guatemala takes a step forward in building a cleaner and more sustainable energy future, laying the foundation for new developments in the region.
