LONGi, the world’s leading manufacturer of high-efficiency solar panels, and BM Energy, a prominent distributor of renewable energy solutions, are excited to announce the expansion of their strategic partnership. This collaboration focuses on the supply of high-efficiency solar technology and related products across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa (EMEA). The collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption back contact technology (BC), The partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of back contact (BC) solar technology, known for its high efficiency, increased power output, reliability, and aesthetic appeal.
The collaboration will comprise LONGi’s new Hi-MO X10 solar panels featuring the proprietary next generation and greatly enhanced HPBC 2.0 technology – Hybrid Passivated Back Contact. The Hi-MO X10 was launched globally in October 2024 and will be rolled out in Europe in phases during Q1 and beyond.
The supply agreement also includes the Hi-MO X6 Max series, the successor to LONGi's hero back contact product, Hi-MO X6. It uses the new M11 wafer with TaiRay Inside technology and, as a Max version, has an increased power output of up to 615 watts.
Strengthening a Proven Partnership in a New Market
The extended partnership between LONGi and BM Energy builds on the success of their existing collaboration in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) where they achieved significant success in deploying high-efficiency back contact solar modules for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects.
It will also enable BM Energy to distribute LONGi’s latest line-up of next generation back contact solar panels, providing high-performance solar solutions tailored to the unique needs of the European market.
Hi-MO X10 - Introducing the next generation of solar modules in a new era of solar efficiency
The highlight of the collaboration is the introduction of LONGi’s cutting-edge Hi-MO X10 series, which leverages LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 technology. The module sets a new performance benchmark with a 670W power output, 24.8% module efficiency, and 26.6% cell efficiency. It outperforms conventional TOPCon modules by 30W. This makes it the module with the world’s highest mass production power output and the world’s highest mass production module efficiency.
The module is equipped with LONGi’s new proprietary n-type TaiRay wafer and Bipolar Hybrid Passivation Technology which brings significant improvements in efficiency, mechanical characteristics and reliability. In addition, it comes with 0BB-structure (zero-busbar), a multi-layer design for increased performance, as well as a shading optimizer technology that reduces the loss of power output by 70% compared to TOPcon modules.
Without compromising on aesthetics, the sleek solar panels are designed to maximize energy production, even in challenging light and climate conditions, making them ideal for the diverse weather patterns in the BeNeLux region.
The Hi-MO X6 Max comes with Anti-Dust and Anti-Snow design
The cooperation will also cover LONGi’s Hi-MO X6 Max series featuring LONGi’s innovative TaiRay Inside and HPBC cell technology. The series guarantees improved stability, reliability and power generation efficiency. The Hi-MO X6 Max product line will include the Guardian, a solution for Anti-Dust and Anti-Snow scenarios. It features an anti-dust / anti-snow short end frame design that addresses the persistent problem of dirt or snow accumulation on solar panels. It is designed to allow dust or snow to naturally slide off the module under the influence of gravity or rainfall. 120 patents have been used in the design and development of Hi-MO X6 Max Guardian Anti-Dust.
