LONGi receives ISO 20400 certification for Sustainable Procurement by SGS

LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereafter as "LONGi"), has been officially certified according to ISO 20400 for Sustainable Procurement by SGS. This is a significant milestone for the company and its ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into every aspect of the procurement process, including increasing transparency in the supply chain to protect human rights and the environment. SGS is a globally leading testing, inspection, and certification company recognized as a global benchmark for sustainability, quality, and integrity.

The ISO 20400 Guidelines provide a comprehensive framework to help organizations reduce their environmental impact through sustainable procurement. It also helps organizations address issues such as human rights, labor practices, fair operations, managing supplier relationships, improving costs, and improving purchasing performance.

Sustainable Procurement is an integral part of LONGi’s sustainable development strategy

The certification provides LONGi with a common language for structuring, planning, and improving the sustainability of its global sourcing activities. At the same time, it demonstrates the company's achievements in sustainable sourcing and the level of responsibility it already fulfills as a global leader in green energy technology innovation. Sustainable procurement is a fundamental aspect of LONGi's sustainable development strategy, and LONGi remains committed to fully integrating sustainable and responsible procurement management into its global operations.

Audits, training, strategies: LONGi actively supports suppliers in integrating ESG and CSR measures into their operations 

LONGi actively participates in the development of its suppliers' ESG and CSR policies and measures to help them become responsible business actors. In 2022, LONGi launched the "Green Partner Empowerment Plan" and the "Green Sustainable Supply Chain Action". It carried out ESG/CSR audits for suppliers, promoted the management policy of conflict minerals procurement, helped suppliers carry out carbon inventory and energy saving and emission reduction, and continuously practiced sustainable development of the supply chain. 

In order to integrate the concept of sustainability into the company's procurement strategy, LONGi's Supply Chain Department and the Group's sustainable development and ESG teams, introduced a sustainable procurement policy of "fairness, justice, integrity, adhering to business ethics, practicing corporate social responsibility, advocating green procurement, and achieving mutual benefit and win-win". They also formulated a series of sustainable procurement policies and action plans, and efficiently implemented them in the company's operations, ultimately winning recognition from third-party organizations.
