LONGi, a global leader in solar technology, has been honored with three awards from TÜV Rheinland, an internationally operating, independent testing service provider based in Cologne, Germany. LONGi received the AQM Award for both PV Module Energy Yield Simulation and PV Module Reliability, marking the company's eighth consecutive year of winning the AQM Award in the PV Modules category since receiving its first award in 2017. LONGi Hydrogen Technology (Xi'an) Co., Ltd. additionally received the "Innovation Award” for High Current Density Medium Pressure ALK Electrolyzer.

The award ceremony was held on 3rd September during the 10th All Quality Matters (AQM) Solar & Energy Storage System (ESS) Congress in Shanghai. The congress, which was organized by the TÜV Rheinland Group, featured 25 AQM Award groups in three categories: PV Modules, Solar Energy Storage Systems, and PV Power Plants.

New generation HPBC 2.0 back contact module Hi-MO 9 recognized for power generation and reliability

LONGi's back contact module Hi-MO 9 has been recognized for its exceptional power generation performance and proven reliability, which are supported by the company's advanced second-generation back-contact (BC 2.0) cell technology.

In light of the growing urgency of climate issues, it is imperative to prioritize quality and reliability in PV modules. With the potential for extreme weather events such as hurricanes, hailstorms, and rainstorms, module products must be able to withstand the impact and risks over a lifespan of 25 years or more to ensure stable long-term benefits of PV installations. To address this need, the PV Modules category introduced a new PV Module Reliability Award, complementing the existing PV Module Energy Yield Simulation Award.

Against this background, LONGi's Hi-MO 9 module underwent rigorous sampling and specialized testing according to TÜV Rheinland's evaluation standards. These tests were designed to simulate the module's power generation performance under different geographical and weather conditions, as well as to assess its long-term stability and reliability when exposed to extreme weather conditions during real-life operation.

The Hi-MO 9 module features HPBC 2.0 cell technology, LONGi's high efficiency Tairay silicon wafers, and composite passivation technology. These advances significantly improve the cells' light absorption, photovoltaic conversion, and current transmission capabilities. With this new generation of high-efficiency power generation technology, the Hi-MO 9 module can efficiently generate electricity even in harsh outdoor environments characterized by uneven light irradiation, high temperatures and humidity. After authoritative evaluation and testing rounds by TÜV Rheinland, the Hi-MO 9 module stood out for its exceptional performance, earning LONGi the PV Module Energy Yield Simulation Award and the PV Module Reliability Award.

Hi-MO X6 back contact module recognized for high performance and yield generation

LONGi's back-contact module Hi-MO X6, which has been proven in a variety of outdoor empirical tests, received the PV Module Outdoor Energy Yield AQM Award in the Monofacial Group. In addition, it showed a remarkable performance increase compared to conventional modules.

In particular, the Hi-MO X6 Anti-Dust module as part of the Hi-MO X6 back contact series, was tested over a seven-month period by the National Center for Quality Supervision and Inspection of Photovoltaic Products (CPVT). It delivered an average monthly increase in power generation of 2.84%, peaking at 5.4% in January. It also operated at temperatures 4.01% lower than conventional modules, significantly reducing power loss and improving overall reliability. The Anti-Dust module features an anti-dust short end frame design that addresses the persistent problem of dirt accumulation on solar panels.

“The new BC era has arrived with the next generation BC 2.0 technology and the Hi-MO 9”

Dennis She, Vice President of LONGi, was invited to participate in the Leaders Forum as part of the Congress. He emphasized the need for photovoltaic companies to continuously innovate in response to industry fluctuations and challenges amidst global economic pressure and fierce market competition. He expressed his confidence that LONGi's BC cell technology, known for its ultra-high efficiency and reliability, will bring a new leap in commercial value to the end market. He concluded that the BC era, represented by the new generation back contact module Hi-MO 9, has arrived.

As the solar PV industry enters the BC era, LONGi's cutting-edge BC cell technology and products will provide greater impetus for the global endeavor to reduce carbon emissions and pursue sustainable development.
